General Information

Credit Cards
Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, shops, restaurants and airlines. Commonly recognised cards include Visa, American Express, Mastercard and Diners Club. The only cards to be accepted at the Conference registration desk will be Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Official Language
The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous interpretation is planned.

Passport and Visa
All visitors are required to have a valid passport and may need an entry visa (please check with your travel agent). A visa can be applied for, and issued from, the Australian Government representatives in major cities throughout the world. Special Needs
Every effort is made to ensure people with special needs are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance, please include a notation with your registration form to enable us to make your stay in Melbourne a pleasant and comfortable experience.

Smoking Policy
Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre has a non-smoking policy throughout the entire venue.

Shopping
Generally Melbourne’s shops are open during the following hours:
Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm
Friday 9.00am-9.00pm
Saturday 8.30am-4.00pm Shops in tourist areas may be open on Sundays.

Melbourne Airport
Melbourne Airport is located approximately 25 kms from Melbourne’s CBD on the Tullamarine Freeway - less than 25 minutes by car. To find the airport using GPS type in: Centre Road, Melbourne Airport.

Taxi
Taxis are available from the ground floor level of Melbourne Airport, outside the International Terminal and both domestic Terminals. Expect a taxi fare of around A$50 to A$70 for a one way trip between the CBD and Melbourne Airport, depending on the time of day.

SkyBus
Skybus offers a shuttle bus service from the airport to Melbourne CBD and city hotels. This service operates 24 hours, 7 days. Buses run every 10-15 minutes throughout the day and every 30-60 minutes overnight. Skybus Hotel Shuttle operates from the city 06002200 Monday to Friday and 0730-1830 Saturday and Sunday. Adult one way tickets cost $16 / $26 return A family ticket (2 adults and 1-4 children)  $36 one way / $56 return A family flexi ticket (1 adult and 1-4 children)  $22 one way / $36 return A child ticket costs $6 one way Purchase and print your ticket online. Weather
September is the first month of spring, which is the most changeable season of the year. A full range of weather may be experienced within a few days, from warm, calm and sunny to cold, windy and showery. The average daily maximum for September is  17 degrees celsius with cool evenings.

What to Wear
Smart casual clothes are suitable for all sessions including the Opening Reception. The Conference Celebration Dinner dress code is lounge suit/cocktail dress.
